February Bead Journal Project and other stuff

Here is my February page.  After ripping it out two times, and figuring out what I liked and did not like I came up with this.  I love the the color combonation. There are elements that I like and there are elements that I really like.
So (or I can say sew)  last weekend I went to the Sew Expo at the Puyallup Fairgounds with my Mom.  Believe it or not I did not buy any fabric there.  The fabric pictured is from a store we visited in Puyallup.   Franc's daughter requested a quilt for her birthday.  This is the fabric I have choosen for it.

I did buy one pound of Czech buttons, a strand of FW pearls and some mother of pearl cabs at the show.  We went to Quality Sewing (it was next door to the fabric shop) and I got some more bobbins and a 1/4 inch foot with a guide for my machine.

Yes that color combo is so beautiful. and, may I add that you did Christina's inspiring bracelet proud. She will definitely think so.

The fabrics you chose for the quilt will make a very exciting quilt. You might have to choose some solids so that all of the prints are not fighting for attention. I do love what you chose. Good luck with this project. Gita

thanks for the comments. I do need more fabric for the quilt. It called for 21 different fat 1/8ths and i got 9 fat quarters. So i need more. Some solids sound like a good idea.

Your BJP makes me feel calm and breathe deeply... I guess it's the color of blue you've chosen plus the symetrical design. Also, you did such a good job technically!

I'm lovin' the quilt fabrics you bought!!! I've got a red-black-white 1930's reproduction fabrics quilt on the back burner at my house! I look forward to seeing yours finished!

I'm so out of it I didn't even realized Sew Expo had come and gone already! (I couldn't have gone anyway.)

Love your Feb. BJP. It's very soothing and elegant. Just beautifully done!

I love the colors and the symmetry. It was interesting to look at your earlier post and see how you started.
