What I did today

Went to the Sew,Craft, and Quilt Expo today....boy am I tired and poor!!!! Got a great deal on warm and natural batting.....10 yds for $32.00!!!Whooo hooo!!! Ready for some holiday quilting, and craft making.

Turtle-ectimey

Maile's poor little pet turtle was extracted from the vaccum hose today. I spent an hour trying to get "something" out of the hose that was clogging it up. Franc had a great idea of soaking the hose in a tub full of hot water to loosen up the clog. A big hunk of hair came out and some dirt. Thinking that was it I hooked it back up to the vaccum and still had verry little sucktion. Although I did not want to cut the hose, I had to.

I made a slit about 2 inches and an eyeball was looking at me....Poor little turtle......

Our rights as citizens of the USA

I am proud to say "I Voted"....We as citizens of the United States have a say in how our goverment is run. We are watching history in the making today. The largest voter turn out in years, and possibly the first president of color. It is amazing to say that I saw history happen.

I a have been looking for a new down blanket for a couple of months. Went to Penney's to day to check out the sale..lo and behold an alternative down blankie 1/2 off....i purchaced it for $60 then when i got to the register I got another 15%off making it $50. original price $120 now that is a deal. I also got a $50 pair of tennies for $27.

Well here it is October....the weather is turning and every thing is turning shades of brown, red, and orange. The weather man is calling for a storm to roll in tonight. Good thing I am making split pea soup for diner. YUMMY!!

AARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid sink is clogged and i have a large pile of dishes to was. Gonna have to call the landlord tomarrow. Franc is handy to have arround some times. He is not very mechanical. When the dryer was not drying clothes who had to clean out the lint holder.....ME.....the sink is backed up, who crawled under there to unhook the pipes....ME...

Went to the Dr on the 11th...now on blood pressure meds and had to have blood drawn the next morning....have to go back on the 25th to discuss the blood test results and have a physical. OOOHHH WHAT FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





Franc and I have changed our diet cutting back on the salt, adding more fruits and veggies...yummy

Dr. appointment

So I went to the girly Dr. today. He took my blood pressure and would not perscribe me the birth control pills because my blood pressure was too high. Now I have to make an appointment with another DR to help control the blood pressure. Now I am stressing, that sure isnt helping the blood pressure......AAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKK

It is football season!! I am a football widow...BUT I do watch the Seahawk games with Franc. Hi, my name is Jennifer and I am a Seahawk fan. Dont know how they are going to do this year. They have quite a few new guys, and it is Holmgreen's last year.

The other team in this house is the Chicago Bears. They are iffy this season. They have a new quarter back, and that is about it.

Dont get me started on the fantasy football leauge. Franc's other "sport", if you can call it that. lol lol I tried to give him advice on which players to pick but he did not listen to me..typical....

saturday....pittering

Here it is Saturday....got the laundry done..my ususal saturday chore. Clothes are hanging on line outside. I sure will miss the warm weather when it is gone. Our dryer is not the best for drying clothes, it seems like they dry much faster (and not to mention it is cheaper) to hang them out side.

Been working on a "fall" wall hanging, cannt decide on how to quilt it. I will post a pic once i get it done. While doing this quilt had a brilliant idea for christmas presants for the girls at work.

my first post

Well here it is .... my first post. I was inpired to create a blog/journal of things that are happening in my life ( it usually isnt much..)

Franc and I have pretty much recovered from Melissa's visit (his daughter). The cats on the other hand are still a little mad at us. Oh well..they will get over it.



Melissa will be 15 on the 8th of September. We had a great time while she was here. She even earned $20 babysitting one day. She did leave me her cold though. Thank bunches Melissa.
